KuriusHacks will officially start tomorrow, so here is a short list of everything you need to know!
Opening Ceremony at 6pm EDT on August 28th 2020 - The opening ceremony will happen in the #Opening Ceremony voice channel under the KuriusHacks category on this Discord Server. It is CRUCIAL for you to attend this ceremony, since this is where we will be announcing the three official challenges proposed by of the hackathon, having our guest speaker present, as well as giving you important informations about how the event is going to run. Please arrive around 10 minutes before the opening ceremony starts and make sure to mute yourself.
A bit more about the 3 challenges - We have partnered up with two other non-profit organizations, TechAide and the Canadian Polar Bear Habitat, to come up with three interesting and unique problems that we would like to see tackled within the organization. Your projects should be a technical solution to one of the three challenges presented. We will give you a lot of room for creativity, so the challenges will not just be about creating a static website. We will fully disclose the specific challenges tomorrow at the opening ceremony, as well as share the pdf for reference during the event!
Workshops - Workshops will be held on the Discord Server for you to take a break away from programming hardcore on your project, and learn about interesting topics!
